I was just sent this video. It speaks so much truth. This is the message that I was conveying in my song "Expand". I am so tired of hearing people claim that they can't get out the hood because the world is against them. I'm tired of seeing people content with being in the hood and being at the bottom of the barrel. We are in control of our own lives. Last time I checked, I did not have shackles around my feet or hands. I am free to make my own decisions. If you feel like someone is holding you down, guess what...it's YOU. Don't be afraid to get an education. Don't be afraid to expand to territories not known to you because you have never been out of the comfort of your ghetto. Don't be afraid to have a career.
